the vision
It is our vision that the new building will meet a variety of needs that concern the Milton community but we have identified the following five principle needs that will guide our consultation with the people of Milton and also guide the development of the design:
Social
The building will bring people together, provide places to meet and host events that engage and unite the community.
Cultural
This will provide the people of Milton with a place where they can express themselves whether it be artistically, theatrically or physically. It will also provide a venue that groups from outside of Milton can use to engage and entertain the community.
Economic
The project will aim to bring new business to Milton, provide new jobs and generate money that can be used to sustain and improve the community.
Environmental
This building will embrace the latest thinking and technology in the field of sustainable design. It will reduce the carbon footprint of the Milton area by being self-sufficient in terms of heat and power.
Spiritual
This project will provide the people of Milton with a new dedicated, permanent space for peace, reflection and worship that will be open to all people.
