energy awareness
Love Milton will be starting a campaign to inform people on ways to reduce your fuel and energy bills over the winter months. We will be starting by seeking 100 people to sign a pledge card promising to switch their appliances off at the socket rather than leave them on standby. Leaving your TV or Playstation on standby is not only wasting energy but is also wasting your money. By switching off at the socket each month you will save between £5 - £10 every month!
Please get in touch with us to take the pledge. We can also offer more advice on how to save energy and money. Free 'energy saving' gadgets worth nearly £50 are being offered as part of a new drive to help households lower their fuel bills during winter. The devices will be available from Home Energy Scotland.
A digital electricity monitor and a stand-by plug will be sent out to all callers to the Home Energy Hotline. Home Energy Scotland aims to simplify access to information on all Scottish Government home energy initiatives as well as offering help and expert advice on how to save energy and money in the home. The Home Energy Hotline is 0800 512 012.
